Spend New Years Day Watching IMTA Stars' DVDs!

Over the past year IMTA alums have participated in an extensive array of fabulous projects. We wanted to give you some ideas for relaxing and welcoming in the New Year! Here are some suggestions of IMTA alum's movies now out on DVD:

IMTA alum Sean Faris' feature film Forever Strong is now out on DVD! This awesome movie won an MTV Movie Award for BEST FIGHT in 2008! Sean won Junior Male Model of the Year when he competed at IMTA in 1999. Sean recently joined the cast of CW's runaway hit TV Vampire Diaries as Ben, an ex-high school football player and bartender at the local Mystic Grill. Ashton Kutcher, IMTA New York 1997, film Personal Effects is out on DVD. When Ashton competed he went head to head with IMTA alum and superstar Josh Duhamel. Ashton won Most Sought After Male Model, signed with Next Models and went straight to Fashion week!
IMTA alum '94 and superstar Jessica Biel's feature film, Easy Virtue is out on DVD. Jessica's latest project, an animated film called Planet 51, is in theaters now. Jessica is working on two new films Valentine's Day and The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. Jessica's film Powder Blue is also out on DVD! IMTA alum Raini Rodriguez's movie Paul Blart Mall Cop is now out on DVD. In this hilarious new film, Raini portrays Maya, daughter of Paul Blart played by The King of Queens star Kevin James. Raini is currently working on a new TV series called I'm in the Band.Lauren Storm's movie I Love You Beth Cooper is now out on DVD! In this movie, Lauren plays Treece Kilmer, one of the best friends of the lead, Hayden Panettiere, who plays the title role of Beth Cooper. Lauren just finished working on the film The Inner Circle.

Josh Duhamel IMTA '97 starred in the biggest film of the summer, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. When Josh competed at IMTA, he was awarded the prestigious title of Male Model of the Year! Josh edged out fellow competitor Ashton Kutcher to win the big prize. My Sister's Keeper starring Sofia Vassilieva IMTA 2000, is now out on DVD! When she competed she won Child Model of the Year! This heart wrenching film won the Choice Summer Movie Drama Award! Sofia is a series regular on the hit TV drama Medium.

Elijah Wood's latest film available now on DVD!

IMTA alum Elijah Wood's animated feature film 9 is now out on DVD! In addition to Elijah, the film features the voices of John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Christopher Plummer, Crispin Glover and Martin Landau. It's a fantasy flick and follows a group of rag dolls trying to survive a post-apocalyptic existence.

Elijah got his start at IMTA in 1989 when he caught the eye of the famed superagent Al Onorato. Elijah has starred in over 40 feature films in his career and is one of Hollywood's (and IMTA's!) most-loved actors! MTV Movies Blog reports that Elijah Wood will join the Oscar-Winning cast of The Experiment! Elijah joins Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker and Cam Gigandet in the remake of the acclaimed 2001 German film. Elijah just wrapped the film The Romantics which co- stars IMTA alum Katie Holmes and Josh Duhamel! This touching comedy is due in theaters January 24, 2010!

Ashley Greene on Late Night with David Letterman!

Catch the encore airing of IMTA alum '04 Ashley Greene as the featured guest on Late Night with David Letterman tonight! It originally aired in November when Ashley was promoting her blockbuster hit movie The Twlight Saga: New Moon! After competing at IMTA in 2004, Ashley went on to model and since then has been featured in H magazine, advertisement campaigns for Feng Junk, Vision NYC, and Stop Staring! clothing.

Ashley's acting career began with appearances on the television shows Crossing Jordan, Desire and MADtv. She also has been featured in movies such as King of California, Shrink, and Summer's Blood. Her breakthrough role is as Alice in the hugley popular vampire series Twilight. The latest film of the saga titled New Moon broke the record for the highest grossing single day domestic box office record ever!

Erin Mackenzie wins Models of the Runway Casting Challenge!

IMTA alumni and Images Model Agency alum Erin Mackenzie is the winner of the Models of the Runway Casting Challenge. Erin will be appearing on the next season of Project Runway and sister show Models of the Runway! The season premiere of Models of the Runway will be on Thursday, January 14, at 11 p.m. ET/PT on the Lifetime network.

Erin competed at IMTA twice! She came to New York 2006 IMTA and New York 2007. She signed with Passport Model Management of San Francisco. She started the first round of Project Runway with over 1000 models and won! Erin talked to us about her IMTA experience saying,"I absolutely loved IMTA. The first time I went was such a learning experience and it showed me that I wanted to work in the modeling industry. IMTA was amazing!"

Sean Faris on the cover of Men's Health!

February 2010 Men's Health features IMTA alum Sean Faris in the first shirtless cover in three years! Sean talks about being fit and getting in shape. "Anybody can be fit. But you have to be patient. Give your body some time to adjust," Sean advises.
For roles like Never Back Down and Forever Strong, he had to become a hockey or rugby player and getting in shape was crucial. Sean can also be seen in movies such as Ghost Machine, Manifest Destiny, and Yours, Mine and Ours.

Sean also uses his fighting and martial art skills in the television series The Vampire Diaries!

Sean won Junior Male Model of the Year when he competed at IMTA in 1999 and signed with Dino May Managment! Since IMTA, Sean has most recently completed films such as Brooklyn to Manhattan, The King of Fighters, Amsterdam and Signed in Blood due for 2010.

IMTA alum from IMTA New York 1997, Ashton Kutcher has exciting news! The recent TV show he produced called The Beautiful Life will be premiering on YouTube! Brock Ciarlelli on The Middle!

IMTA alum Brock Ciarlelli is starring in a new show called The Middle. Brock plays the recurring role of Brad, the new love interest of one of main characters, Sue.Patricia Heaton is lead of this hilarious new show. Brock competed at IMTA in New York City in 2007! He is in post production on 2.0.

Alyson Stoner in Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation

IMTA alum Alyson Stoner has a wonderful, music filled, hilarious holiday episode of her show Phineas and Ferb airing tonight December 11 on The Disney Channel. Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation will premiere across multiple Disney-ABC TV, radio and digital platforms plus iTunes and Xbox Live! On this animated comedy series Alyson voices Isabella a regular on the show!

Alyson who competed at IMTA in 2000, received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Special Class—Short-format Animated Programs for Phineas and Ferb. Alyson is also starring in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. She will be reprising her role as Caitlyn in this exciting new project!!! Alyson has starred in many major feature films including Camp Rock, Cheaper By The Dozen movies and Alice Upside Down!

Katie Holmes, Elijah Wood and Josh Duhamel in The Romantics

Three IMTA alums are filming the new film The Romantics, Katie Holmes, Elijah Wood and Josh Duhamel. Katie plays the role of Laura, Elijah portrays Chip and Josh plays Tom in this comedy about a group of old friends at a wedding.Katie competed at IMTA twice, in 1993 and 1995 . She returned a couple of years later to present awards at IMTA and debuted the first fifteen minutes of the pilot episode of Dawson's Creek. Elijah Wood IMTA'89 is featured in a new national advertising campaign for Oliver Peoples eyewear. Elijah's newest movie 9 is in theaters now. According to the Hollywood Reporter Elijah and Robin Williams are in negotiations reprise their characters in the second installment of the animated film Happy Feet. Josh '97 starred in the biggest film of the summer, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. When Josh competed at IMTA, he was awarded the prestigious title of Male Model of the Year! Josh edged out fellow competitor Ashton Kutcher to win the big prize.

Alecia Svensen in The Social Network!

Alecia Svensen competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2008! At the IMTA Convention, she won Honorable Mention for Junior Female Actor of the Year, Awards in Monologue, Singing, Soaps, TV Real People, and was the Winner of Ready for My Closeup in her division!

Alicia has a supporting role in the film The Social Network which is scheduled for release in 2010. The movie also stars Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker. The movie is about the founders of the social networking site Facebook!

Brittany Curran in Men of a Certain Age!

IMTA alum Brittany Curran has a new series premiering December 7, called Men of a Certain Age. She plays Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. According to the Wall Street Journal, "The series, which debuts Dec. 7 at 10 p.m. Eastern time, stars Mr. Romano, Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher as a group of childhood friends who find themselves uncertainly navigating middle age." The show will be airing on TNT and Brittany plays a series regular!

Brittany's film Legally Blondes was nominated for Best Feature Film of the Year for Kids First: A Coalition for Quality Kids Programming! The film also stars IMTA alum Kunal Sharma. Brittany plays Tiffany, the prettiest, most popular and feared girl at Pacific Prep school. She recently guest starred as Kristy Marks on Ghost Whisperer. Brittany played the lead role of Shelby, one of Ezra’s (Lucas Grabeel) close friends in The Adventures of Food Boy co- starring with Kunal! She has had recurring guest roles on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Drake and Josh. Brittany also starred in the Universal release The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It with Emily Osment and Cody Linsley which was released last year. In the movie Diamond Dog Caper, Brittany plays the main character's self-involved older sister Lilly.

IMTA's Ashley Greene in The Twilight Saga: New Moon!

IMTA alum Ashley Greene is currently appearing in the smash box office hit The Twilight Saga: New Moon! Ashley stars as Alice Cullen, the cute quirky vampire sister of Edward. Alice's character has the special gift of seeing glimpses of the future. Ashley also starred as Alice in the first hit movie Twilight!

Ashely recently was on the cover of Maxim magazine. She is making the talk show rounds recently appearing on Regis and Kelly and The Soup. She is also currently on post-production on many projects including: Warrior, The Apparition, and the third installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse!

Brittany Curran and Kunal Sharma Nominated for Kids First Award!

Brittany Curran is in New Mexico to attend the award ceremony of Kids First: A Coalition for Quality Kids Programming. Brittany's film Legally Blondes was nominated for best feature film (ages 12-18) of the year! The film also stars IMTA alum Kunal Sharma. Brittany plays Tiffany, the prettiest, most popular and feared girl at Pacific Prep school.

Kunal competed at IMTA Los Angeles in 2004, when he was sixteen years old. He is featured in the TV showIts Always Sunny in Philadelphia airing December 3, on FX . He has a recurring role as Faisal. Kunal has guest-starred on many popular TV shows such as Phil of the Future, The Office, Veronica Mars, Crossing Jordan and Hannah Montana. He recently completed production for Frank the Rat and Sacred Journey. He is in production on the feature film The Kids Are All Right starring as Jai. It's a comedy starring Annette Benning, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo scheduled for release in 2010!

Sean competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2006 where he won first runner up for Male Model of the Year and signed with the legendary Major Model Management team. He has been featured in the magazines GQ, Details, HUGE, on the home page for Eluxury and in a Diesel campaign ad. He was in the Spring/Summer ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana with fellow IMTA grad and supermodel Tyson Ballou and has modeled for Y-3 and Calvin Klein, Dior, Diesel, Lucien Palley Finet, Numero Hommes and many more.

Josh Duhamel Shooting Life as We Know It!

IMTA alum Josh Duhamel is currently working on a new film called Life as We Know It. Josh who plays Eric Messer, will co star with Katherine Heigl in this dramatic romance movie about two people who are given an orphaned child to raise. This movie is scheluded for release in December of 2010.
