IMTA alum, Raini Rodriguez is getting prepared to start filming a comedy feature film rumored to be called Mall Cop and scheduled for release in January of 2009. According to the Hollywood Reporter filming will begin this month in Boston, with Steve Pink directing from a script by James and Nick Bakay. Raini will play Maya Blart, daughter of Paul Blart played by Kevin James in this film about a mall security guard who no one takes seriously. When he rescues his daughter Maya and a Mall worker from a group of organized crooks, he finally gets the respect he deserves.Raini competed at IMTA in 2005 and took first place in monologue and commercial print competitions and placed in the top ten for top actress of the year!! She has appeared in the short film Parker, and television shows such as The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Family of the Year, Huff, Black Shadows, and lent her voice to the animated Disney children's show Handy Manny.
