The Edwardian Era: 1901 - 1910
The old adage 'fashion recycles' is one of the most primal concepts of fashion design. The Edwardian Era is an extremely rich trove of fashion design inspiration and strongly recognisable decade in dress.
We're talking Titanic era people! Do you remember the fabulously intricate and delicate designs Rose wore in the James Cameron film? Cameron's team painstakingly replicated every single detail of the Titanic down to the fashion, crockery and linen. AMAZING!

Not to be completely sidetracked from the purpose of this post, I will be showing you some of the amazing fashions directly from the era, along with current designers who are inspired by this amazing history.
History
From corsets, bodices, tall, stiff collars, puffy sleeves, trains, full, low busts, curvy hips, broad hats, long dresses, elegance to columnar silhouettes, a move toward freer leisure wear, tailored working suits, and the full flowering of Parisian haute couture!

Edwardian Inspired
So many designers draw inspiration from this era, not only to modernise and create new pieces, but there are also designers whom have been established since these times, and others whom will create vintage inspired haute couture.
