Jessica Simpson had a horrible week. She lost her voice, had two publications claiming that she was dating John Mayer only to have him publicly claim that this was not the case- ending the week with her on the cover of US magazine with the headline "Dumped." This debacle led to the firing of her longtime publicist Rob Shuter, by her father. Though reports claim that she was forced to do the firing herself- Shuter came out with a statement from Jessica that claimed that they are still friends and have nothing but respect for one another. Joe Simpson claims that never happened.
While making the rounds of the talk show circuit to promote her horrible album she gained some points for being fun to watch- since she doesn't really censor herself and always says something ridiculous.
Her new short hairstyle and clothes have been criticized however, for being matronly. She needs to go back to her sexy extensions- although we don't think those extensions were from her new line.
