You can use a tethered JB on 4.3.1 on iPad, that's what I have and it works great with all my fav tweaks.... here is a link http://www.redmondpie.com/jailbreak-4.3.1-on-windows-iphone-4-3gs-ipad-1g-ipod-touch-using-sn0wbreeze-2.4-how-to-guide/

I suppose if you buy a lot of PSN games the huge console price increase from US to UK doesn't seem as bad.
How is the Lemmings game? Is it actually Lemmings at 3*6 pixels small or the **** stains on the PSP one? Can you use a mouse? Is it a 'best of' or a port of a previous Lemmings?
I love Lemmings :)

So I'm looking into a new iMac and my budget is 1500 so I'm wonder whether to get the 2.5 ghz and get some ram from OWC or just go with the 2.7 ghz please help me decide
How long do you intend to keep the machine? Because you can always save up more and buy RAM later, but the processor is pretty much set. For this reason, I would recommend getting the 2.7.
Since you'll be spending $300 more for the 2.7, you're also getting twice the hard drive space and a better graphics card.

i'm thinking of selling my 2G silver mini. i'd like to get a nano instead, or just "make do" with my shuffle for working out. it's in really good condition - only a few minor scratches on it and i have all of the accessories and original box. it's still under warranty for a couple more months as well, so applecare could be purchased for it. if this sounds interesting, let me know...

Can anyone give me the right amount to partition off for Windows XP+Games+Bootcamp?
Thanks in advance,
K.
Simple answer - No we can't.
Longer answer - Only you know how many games you will be wanting to install on XP, similar to the above poster, I only play one game which requires Windows, so I set mine to 40GB, which was enough for OS and the game.
One piece of advice I would give you is to partition your drive into 3, one for Mac OS, one for Windows and a third 'spare' partition. THat way if you find yourself running out of space on either Mac or Windows you can format the 'spare' partition appropriately, or even split the spare into two.
Thanks in advance,
K.

You what?????? A Dual 1.25GHz is signicantly swifter than the Dual 1GHz especially in After Effects and Final Cut Pro.......

You're pretty pissed ... rather beyond pissed? And people tell me to relax!
It is the holiday season, I would expect much less than a **** ton of bundles.
I just can't understand why they can't sell things separately and then give you a discount when you buy the two things together (since that's basically what they're doing with Kinect bundles and game bundles).
So now I'm going to have to wait a week for a stand-alone 4gb, or cough up another $100 for things that I don't even want so that I can have something to do over my winter break. I honestly don't remember all of this bundle crap existing when I bought my 360 ~4 years ago, you had the option of buying the system alone and that was it.
So yeah I am pissed off.

It all depends. I liked the V600 better than the V400 for these reasons.
It was made out of Metal/Aluminium instead of plastic.
I seemed to be able to hear better on it. Although i think it was do mainly to ergonomics.
I liked the look and feel of it much better. To me the V400 was the beta, and the V600 was the final product.
I value style, and durability, so I went with the V600. Also, I had a V60 which I loved. Possibly the best phone I have ever owned, and the V600 remind me much of it. I'm sure was a big part of my decision.
And as for battery life, if I remember correctly it was about the same. No huge difference.
So I guess if your an average user, The V400 is a good fit.
BTW, I dont think Cingular sells the V600 anymore. I think they replaced it with a 500 series phone. Which is made out of plastic :(Well im using the samsung sgh-x427 non m model and i like it except for the fact that it will only hold 3 downloaded full audio ring tones which is freakin lame imo only 3!! I mean come on. Also its not a camera phone and the battery is less than satisfactory. I want a camera phone with great battery life, i do a lot of text meseging and on the phone all the time i want something that will last me at least 4 days without having to run to my life saving charger. Am i asking to much? ah well come on cingular the technology is there isnt it

Last weekend I picked up the 2.6 ghz model with 2 gbs of ram. I'm planning on upgrading the ram to 4 gbs because I'm under the impression that this is the most you can put in the machine. However, in looking at info on the mac mini wikipedia site it says that the mini is Expandable to 8 GiB (4 GiB supported by Apple)
So how much ram will work in this machine? Can it really handle 8gbs?

Do any of you guys know any programs for the mac that could tell me my CPU speed? Or if not, what is the typical temperature that the CPU throttles itself? Thanks!
Mac CPUs will throttle due to thermal issues just below the level where they will automatically shut down to prevent damage, which is around 100C/212F or 105C/221F, depending on which processor you have.

AppCleaner will uninstall every part of a program, including the oddball things that don't get uninstalled when you drag it to the trash.
No, it won't.
Thanks!! That works awesome!!
Actually, it doesn't.
u can also use Appzapper.
That's not any better.
AppZapper, AppCleaner, CleanApp, TrashMe, and similar apps do not do a thorough job of removing all files/folders related to deleted apps. I tested several of these, using Skype as the app to be removed. Of 17 items to be removed:
AppZapper missed 13 items
AppCleaner missed 11 items
AppDelete missed 8 items
Hazel missed 9 items
I also tested AppTrap, CleanMyMac and a few others, but don't recall how many items they missed. All left files/folders behind. In most cases, they remove .plist files and a few others, but leave behind much larger files and folders. (you will find a discussion of these tests in the thread linked below)
One app that I would not recommend, based on the number of complaints that have been posted in this forum and elsewhere, is CleanMyMac. As an example: CleanMyMac cleaned too much (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=709930)
The only effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:
Best way to FULLY DELETE a program (http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=11171082&postcount=16)

psst... change your title. some ppl may get confused and think it's the *new* new iPhone.
haha, I might just change it to Unreleased iphone for sale :P
I'm not interested in the phone, as I already have my own soon-to-be-outdated iPhone. ;)
But I had to comment on your avatar. Scrubs is my favorite TV program of ALL time!
Awesome show.

I don't know about anyone else, but I find this image a little disturbing  . It looks good and is very well produced, but disturbing nonetheless. :o
Seemed like a good idea at the time... I guess I made it too literally (you are the apple in my eyes)

uicandrew,
While the terms of the warranty permit Apple to replace defective phones with refurbished parts, I have no reason to believe this unit is refurbished. The iPhone came with the plastic adhered to the screen and has no blemishes or anything.
I lost my patience and went ahead and downgraded to 1.0.2. I'm really enjoying using the camera with Pushr, so I may need to rethink trading.
I put a crystal film screen protector on it as soon as I removed the plastic, so it's still pristine.

But, if you have mobility in mind you'd need the computer to be a notebook and work with a limited screen size or add an external display .... but then there's the plugging/unplugging all day, files need to be kept in sync...
What's your setup like, one computer or two, how do you use them?
One Macbook Air. No files to keep in sync since I don't have many computers and an external monitor isn't a problem. Of course if Apple knew how to make docks, it would be even easier, but it's not like plugging in 3 wires is sooooo much of a pain.
Having many computers is more of a pain than it's worth.
