James Spader- who has made his career out of playing creepy people won for Boston Legal. Ricky Gervais won for Best Actor in a Comedy for Extras, but since he didn't show up the presenters John Stewart and Stephen Colbert jokingly gave the award to Steve Carell (who we think is absolutely hilarious on The Office USA).
