IMTA Alum Eva Longoria's TwitChange!

Bidding starts today for Eva Longoria's wonderful celebrity charity fundraiser! TwitChange will provide permanent homes for orphans and special needs kids in Haiti by having fans bid for three things: to be followed by their favorite celebrity on Twitter, retweeted, or mentioned by them in a special tweet! It's the first ever celebrity twitter auction! Bids start at $1 and many of your favorite stars are involved.

Eva Longoria launched and coordinated this wonderful idea and cause. Eva is always so inspiring by doing good for her community and world. Her charitable efforts include Eva's Heroes, The ALMA Awards, Rally for Kids with Cancer, Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the National Stroke Association, Project HOME and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Eva was recognized as 'Philanthropist of the Year' by Hollywood Reporter in 2009!

When Eva competed at IMTA in 1998, she had 38 agents and managers interested in representing her! She signed with a manager she had met at the convention. Eva told Pageantry Magazine that, “The first day they signed me I had four auditions...It was pretty fast.” She quickly moved to Los Angeles and landed guest-starring roles on Beverly Hills 90210, General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. In 2003, she took a role as a detective in a TV remake of LA Dragnet and made her big-screen film debut in Carlita’s Secret, and also starred in the films Harsh Times, and The Sentinel. Eva's is most well-known as the beautiful Gabrielle Solis on the award-winning Desperate Housewives on ABC.
